## Description

The number of <span class="title-ref">Ticks</span> (one 60th of a second) that have passed since the computer/device was started.

## Sample code

Calculate the number of seconds that have elapsed:

``` xojo
Dim start As Double = Xojo.System.Ticks

' Do a long-running process here

Dim finished As Double = Xojo.System.Ticks
Dim elapsedSeconds As Double = (finished - start) / 60
```
